DVX-100 CAMERA NOTES

Set F1-F5

Set Diopter by the viewfinder to set good for eye (when not using the barn door)

Focus – A

Pre-roll 10 seconds of tape

Make sure the A (with a box around it) is on. If not in A mode, set Focus to M and push Auto

Infinity- Focus stuff in background

In M, adjust the Gain:
L – 0DB
M – 6 DB
H – 12 DB

The Iris can be adjusted in M
F2 – Very Open F8 – Barely Open

White Balance
Preset- hit White Balance once and it’s 3.2K (shooting indoors). If I press White Balance a second time it’ll be 5.6K (shooting outdoors)

A – AWB a CH – can use a white card to set white balance and set white balance manually

Menu – Auto SW (itch), can turn on or off

If working in a A (with a box around it), turn all four on

1. Auto Iris
2. Auto Gain
3. Auto Tracking White Mech
4. Auto Focus

AUDIO

CH. 1 Internal Left and CH.2 Internal Right

MANUAL AUDIO

• Go into Menu – Recording Setup – Record Speed – SP
• Audio Recording set to 16-bit
• Mic ALC (Auto Level Control) if set to off, then I can use Audio Knobs at Bottom to Manually Control
• Audio Should just peak over the green dot in the corner
• Set Audio Manually
